John F. Koleszarik KOLESZARIK - John F., 81, Central City, passed to eternal life with the Lord at his home surrounded by his loving family on April 11, 2007. Born Jan. 11, 1926, the son of Stephen and Susan (Chordas) Koleszarik. Preceded in death by parents and brothers, Michael and Stephen. Survived by wife of 56 years, the former Lillian Orris, and children, Karen (Nevin) Mincek of Central City, Claudia (Stanley) Lebda of Hooversville, Steven (Regina) of Windber, and Bernadette (Joseph) Visinsky, Mark (Cheryl) and John (Melissa), all of Central City. Also survived by 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Brother of Erma Westover of Ohio and Goldie Szuch of Illinois. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having received two battle stars. Retired millwright from Bethlehem Steel and was active in his parish, having been a member of the Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus, choir and served as an usher and reader. A past commander of Central City VFW, former borough councilman and member of the American Legion. John spent the last 35 years taking special care of the parish cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Mulcahy Funeral Home, Central City, where wake service will be held Sunday evening. Funeral Mass will be concelebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at Our Lady Queen of Angels Church, the Rev. Father Joseph Maurizio, pastor. Committal, with military honors by American Legion Post 449, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery. Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, led by the Holy Name Society and K of C Council 9109.
